SC adjourns hearing of Hafiz Saeed case till tomorrow

LAHORE: The three-member full bench of Lahore High Court (LHC) headed by Justice Aijaz Ahmed Chaudhry adjourned till tomorrow the hearing of the case against the house arrests of chief of the banned outfit Jamat-ut-Da’wa, Hafiz Saeed and Col. (Retd.) Nazir.

The counsel of Hafiz Saeed presenting the arguments during the hearing said even al-Qaeda has not been declared a terrorist organization under Pakistani law and questioned the justification of declaring a body a terrorist organization in the wake of UN resolution.

“Pakistan is an autonomous state, it should implement its own laws rather than following the resolutions passed by the UN,” he said.

Later, the SC adjourned the hearing till tomorrow.
