ISLAMABAD: Some respite is in the sight for power consumers as Managing Director Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO); Tahir Basharat Cheema has announced immediate halt in load shedding to be continued for next two days.
Talking to Geo News, he said, on Sunday optimum power up to 13,000 mw has been generated due to capacity generation of PEPCO and the initiation of power generation from some new power plants.
Luckily weather has also improved, registering decrease in power consumption.
So it has been decided to terminate load shedding immediately. Further decision would be made on Tuesday. Two more new plants would start power generation in June.
